01/Overview
ZenFocus is a Pomodoro-style focus timer: run focus and break sessions with break suggestions, track daily progress and productivity stats, and stay in the zone with built-in focus sounds.
Technical highlight
The same codebase ships web and Android through Capacitor, so the timer, stats and sounds behave identically on both platforms.
02/The problem
Focus apps tend to either nag or gamify to the point of distraction. The goal was a timer that structures deep work sessions and shows where the time actually goes, without getting in the way.
03/The solution
Built a React 18 + TypeScript app (Vite, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, Framer Motion) with Zustand and React Query for state. Focus and break timers ship with break suggestions, daily progress and productivity stats, focus sounds, notifications and onboarding; Supabase handles sign-in, with admin and gated pro areas on top.
04/The result
A working app in early release on the web, with the Android build configured and store-release prep under way.
